To secure your date and time, sign the contract, complete the questionnaire, and pay the retainer fee (50% of the session fee) within 48 hours. Otherwise, the slot will reopen to others.

What exactly is a mini session*?
Photography mini sessions are short, condensed photo shoots designed for those seeking a quick and efficient way to capture memorable moments. They offer a convenient option for individuals or families looking for a brief yet impactful photography experience.
Here’s a little overview:
A Mini-Session IS…
- 10-20 minutes long
- Stacked in a specific time block
- At a location that THE PHOTOGRAPHER chooses
- On a date that THE PHOTOGRAPHER chooses
- Includes a small amount of images
A Mini-Session IS NOT…
- Longer than 20 minutes
- A stand-alone session
- At a location that THE CLIENT chooses
- On a date that THE CLIENT chooses
- 30+ images included
15 min goes by so fast, I am worried I won't be able to get the pictures I want!
I completely understand! While 15 minutes may seem short, I typically capture around 70-100 photos during that time frame. With my experience from over 25 rounds of mini sessions in the past three years, rest assured that as long as you arrive on time, we'll be good to go! I'll have prompts ready for you, and I'll be there to guide you, so you'll feel like a model on the day of the shoot! It'll be a fun and efficient experience!
What is a retainer fee and why is there one?
A retainer fee secures your session spot and is non-refundable.
Your session isn't officially booked until I receive a 50% non-refundable retainer fee upfront. The remaining 50% is due on the day of the photoshoot.
For instance, if you've chosen the STUDIO MINI package at $185, you'll pay $92.5 upfront and the rest on the photoshoot day.
The retainer fee ensures I reserve that specific time for you. If canceled last minute (within 7 days), it's challenging to fill the slot, potentially inconveniencing others.
Thus, I require the retainer fee before booking. Until received, your slot remains open to other clients.
How will I know if my session is confirmed?
Once you've signed up via the link, I'll be in touch within 24 hours to send you the contract, invoice, and questionnaire. To secure your desired date and time, you'll need to sign the contract, fill out the questionnaire, and submit the retainer fee (50% of session fee) within 48 hours. Failure to complete these steps within 48 hours will reopen the time slot to others.
What if I need to reschedule/cancel my session?
Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule mini sessions must be made at least 7 days prior to the session date and are subject to availability.
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your session, the 50% retainer fee** will be forfeited and released to SNAPS WITH JOY unconditionally.

What if the weather is bad? What if it rains?
This policy applies exclusively to outdoor sessions. If weather conditions are unsuitable on the day of the shoot, the mini session will be canceled, and the 50% retainer fee** will be refunded.
Indoor sessions will proceed as scheduled.
Am I allowed to book multiple sessions?
Please refrain from selecting multiple time slots for the same session in an attempt to hold them. Our system will detect this and automatically cancel all your reservations.
I am a repeating client, do I get any discounts?
Absolutely! Thank you for considering working with me again! Just like regular sessions, returning clients will automatically receive a 10% discount upon booking!
What does "Add-on Edited Images Option Available" mean?
Each mini session includes a set number of pictures at the listed price. However, if you wish to purchase additional images after the photoshoot and upon reviewing all the RAW photos, you have the option to do so. The pricing for add-on images is as follows:
- Every 5 images: $15
- Every 10 images: $25
- Every 15 images: $35
- Every 20 images: $45
- Every 25 images: $50

How come some of the sessions allow pets, and some don't?
While I'd love to include your furry friend in our session, unfortunately, some venues or shoot locations don't allow pets on the premises.
When will I know the actual photoshoot location?
You can find the zip code for each mini session listed above for reference. Exact locations and parking information will be sent one week prior to the photoshoot date.
What time should I show up to the photoshoot?
Please ensure you arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your session start time to check in with my assistant, depending on which one is present. Be sure to account for traffic and finding parking. If you arrive later than your session start time, we'll make the most of the remaining time. One week before the mini session date, you'll receive an email from me with more logistical details.
Do you offer prints?
Absolutely! I'll be offering print options, and you can order them directly from the gallery once your photos are ready! Printing options include regular photos, wall art, and even holiday greeting cards!
