FAQ - General

When and where do you usually release your availability?

The "SERVICES" tab is your go-to for checking my availability. Occasionally, I'll also post updates on Instagram in the "AVAILABILITY" highlight or announce last-minute openings. Typically, I schedule outdoor sessions on weekends during golden hours (2 hours after sunrise and 2 hours before sunset) for optimal lighting.

Can I receive the RAW/unedited pictures?

Unfortunately, RAW/unedited pictures aren't provided at the end since editing is an integral part of my work. However, you'll have the opportunity to view them with a watermark when selecting your favorites before I commence editing.

For additional edited images beyond the package allowance and our agreed-upon terms, please consult the ADD-ONS section on the Pricing and Packaging page.

How long will I have access to my online gallery?

You'll have access to the gallery for one month after receiving the link. Wedding clients will have access for two months. It's advisable to download the entire gallery once it's available. I'll also send a reminder before removing the gallery.

What is a retainer fee* and why is there one?

A retainer fee serves as a non-refundable deposit to secure your session reservation.

All photoshoots are considered unofficial until a 50% non-refundable retainer fee is paid upfront. The remaining 50% is due on the day of the photoshoot upon completion.

For instance, if you've chosen the GRADUATION BASIC package priced at [$450 + tax], you'll pay 50% upfront, which is [$225 + tax], with the remaining balance of [$225 + tax] due after the photoshoot.

This fee is necessary because booking a session reserves that specific time for you. Last-minute cancellations (within 7 days of the scheduled date) make it challenging to fill the slot with another client. Additionally, it's unfair to potential clients who may have wanted the same time slot.

Hence, a non-refundable retainer fee is required before the photoshoot. Until payment is received, your desired time slot remains available to other potential clients.

What are the payment options?

We accept payments via Credit/Debit cards, bank transfer, and cash (for in-person transactions).

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm located in Houston, Texas, but I'm always up for a quick road trip to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, or even further afield by plane to another state - just let me know!

For clients based outside of Houston, please visit the add-on section under SERVICES > PRICING AND PACKAGING for more information and examples!

Do you do retouching or use photoshop on photos?

I do not! I offer photo editing through Adobe Lightroom, which includes adjustments to exposure, shadows, temperature, and color tones to achieve my signature style.

Retouching, on the other hand, involves using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate images. Basic retouching typically includes removing blemishes, stray hairs, or other minor details. Extensive retouching can involve more complex tasks like fixing clothing, removing braces, adjusting body weight, or addressing larger hair issues.

If you're seeking heavily edited images, I may not be the photographer for you, and that's perfectly okay!

Do you offer prints?

Absolutely! I'll be offering print options, and you can order them directly from the gallery once your photos are ready! Printing options include regular photos, wall art, and even albums!

I am graduating in May (or Dec), when do you recommend me to book and have my session?

For May graduates, the optimal time for photoshoots is typically late March to early May. For December graduates, it's best to schedule from late October to early December.

I suggest reaching out and booking your session as soon as possible to secure your preferred date. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, so booking early gives you more date options.

How do I choose which photos I want you to edit?

Photo Proofing is the stage where you select the final images before any editing begins. After our photo session, all images will be uploaded to an online gallery for your review.

The process is straightforward: simply mark your favorite photos in the gallery I provide. Your selections will be added to a pre-created list labeled "Favorites," which you can access using the same email address. Once you've made your final selections, send the list back to me, and I'll proceed with editing those images.

When and how will I get my photos after the photoshoot?

Within 12 business hours after our photoshoot, I'll upload all the raw/unedited pictures with my watermark to an online gallery for your review. You'll receive the link via email, along with a confirmation to ensure you've received it.

Once you've selected your top picks and sent them back, I'll randomly choose a few for sneak peeks. This allows you to preview the editing style and provide any specific feedback. Feel free to download and share these on social media if you'd like!

After approving the sneak peeks, I'll proceed to edit the rest. You can expect to receive all final edited images within 10 days of submitting your top picks and completing the proofing process. The sooner you finalize your selection, the sooner I can get started.

Once editing is complete, you'll be able to access, download, and share your final edited images from the same online gallery. I'll notify you via email when they're ready, and send a quick note to ensure you've received it.

Can I bring any props to the photoshoot?

Absolutely! Feel free to bring along confetti poppers, glitter, champagne, balloons, smoke grenades, or any other props you fancy! Props can add excitement and color to your session, making it even more memorable. If you need suggestions on what to bring or where to find props, don't hesitate to reach out—I'm here to help!

Can I bring my family, friends, or significant others to the senior/graduate photoshoot?

Absolutely! Graduation marks a significant milestone in your life, and you're more than welcome to celebrate with your family, friends, and significant other by your side.

Please note:
If your companion is also a graduate, the Graduates & Seniors Add-on - Sibling/BFF Joint Session is available for $275, including 30 extra edited photos.

Can I reschedule a session?

Certainly! I completely understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you need to reschedule your session, please notify me by email at least a week (7 days) in advance. I'll do my utmost to accommodate your new schedule and make the necessary adjustments.

What if I am running late to my session?

If you're running late, we'll maximize the remaining time in your session. For instance, if our session is from 5:30-6:30pm but you're 10 minutes behind, we'll adjust to 5:40-6:30pm, ensuring the session still concludes on time.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Weather can be unpredictable, but your session's success is paramount. If the weather isn't favorable on your session day, I'll promptly reach out to reschedule.

You have the option to request a final decision 24 hours before your session or up to 2 hours before the scheduled time.

Rest assured, I keep a few days open at the end of each month to accommodate such situations.
